Captivating mid 20th century heliogravure photos by Brassai printed by Neogravure on wove paper for the 1939 issue of the French art journal "Editions Verve" published by Teriade, Paris. Another full page photograph by Claude Simon printed in heliogravure is on the reverse. Folio sized. Opinions differ about the print-run of Verve but the best estimate seems to be 2000. Please view our other listings from Verve. Brassaï ( pseudonym of Gyula Halász; 9 September 1899 – 8 July 1984) was a Hungarian–French photographer, sculptor, writer, and filmmaker who rose to international fame in France in the 20th century.
