Traditional vintage Kuba grass textile handmade from the indigenous people of the Congo. Bold geometric patterns created by hand with woven raffia palm fibers in a time-intensive process involving multiple people. Raffia fibers are first striped, kneaded and woven until soft, dyed using natural dye and lastly, decorated with embroidery, appliqués, or patchwork techniques.
