This watercolor work has been recreated as a serigraph, a labor-intensive multi-layer process that applies heavy pigment, rendering greater depth and bolder, more defined color than a standard lithograph. This process was adopted by Picot for most of his prints, as he discovered his favorite subjects in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, where colors are vivid and warrant the extra attention needed to bring them to life.
