The still life composition is a beautiful example of Mid Century Modernist aesthetics represented in a gorgeous vibrant multicolor palette, with subtle textural painterly surface details. The painting is signed by the artist in the lower left front corner area " C. John ". The vintage framed Modernist painting measures 17 1/8" W X 13 1/8" H X 1 1/2" D. It is period custom framed in a float mounted presentation with a walnut stained wood box style molding with a metallic gold gilded front trim detail. There is an attached sawtooth bracket hanging hardware on the reverse back side for easy wall installation. It is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age and use.
