This is a beautiful Vintage Original Hand-Signed Etching by listed American artist Annette Robyns (1914–1994) titled "Bird of Time." This intimate composition features a stylized bird rendered in Robyns' distinctive modernist style, combining elegant flowing forms with rich blue-gray tones and delicate etched lines. It is a wonderful example of her printmaking and showcases the influence of her studies with renowned artist Fernand Léger. Signed in pencil, titled, and numbered 14/25. Sold unframed as shown. Condition: Very good vintage condition. There is a faint mat line approximately 2" outside the image from previous framing, along with minor handling wear to the sheet edges. The image itself is clean and well-preserved. The mat line would be covered when professionally matted and framed. Measurements: Strike is approx 5"x7" and it is approx 11"x15" total paper size. About the Artist: Annette Robyns was born in New York on February 8, 1914. Robyns (neé Annette Robyns Rabinowitz) studied at the New York School of Industrial Art and continued in Paris with Fernand Leger. In the 1940s she settled in Los Angeles and obtained her M.A. degree at California State University. After her marriage to actor Donald Elson in 1961, she established the Robyns-Elson Gallery where she sold her works as well as those of other modernists.
