This one of kind vintage signed abstract Rolph Scarlett acrylic on paper dates from the 60's. It has just been recently framed in a simple off white museum mat and black wood frame. It was in a private archive for over 18 years The colors are vibrant and the forms angular. The artist was Canadian born and his work hangs in the Guggenheim Museum to name a few. He was a great explorer of twentieth century painting always trying new styles and opening his mind to curious ways. The artwork alone without the frame is 13.5" H x 10" W . Framed it is 22" H x 18"W x 1" D. Colors pop in hues of green, purple, yellow, red, orange, blue and black. Forms are mask like angular shapes.
