Coveted handturned original Marshall Pottery from Texas. Handpainted lovely blue sketch of a rustic landscape on an almond bisque background pottery. The piece has a smooth and slightly glossy finish. It is a piece of art that can be used as a platter or hung on a wall with a bit of cord through the openning. The artist's signature and date are on the front bottom "Rod 75." The backside has ink stamped lettering that reads: "Since 1895, Marshall Pottery, Marshall, Texas, Master Potter." There is also a blue label on the back that reads: "Hand Turned in the Ancient Tradition by Skilled Craftsmen at Marshall Pottery." This is the real Marshall Pottery not a replica. There is also an ink stamped signature on the back that is difficult to read but the signiture initials are T. H. and underneath there are some symbols . Dimensions are 10 x 10 inches in diameter x 0.5 inches high. The piece is very good condition consistent. There are no stains, cracks or knicks.
