This heavy hand-colored wall relief in cast plaster uses masculinity, it depicts a dutch seaman/captain called Dorus Rijkers who rescued over 500 people lost at sea between 1870-1890. In Denmark where this particular example is made during the 1960s or 70s we have made the motif our own and treasure its masculine qualities. The characteristic pipe has become synonymous with style and calmness. Measurements: 43x33x5 cm.
