Born in Wellington, New Zealand, James now calls Charleston, South Carolina home. When he's not painting, the artist enjoys traveling the world with his wife, Beverly. This lovely lakeside scene was inspired by the couple's trips to French countryside. "We had a house in France for many years," James recalls. "It was in the region of Tarn, while walking around a medieval village, that I fell in love with the tranquility of the landscape."
