Beautiful, historic painting of the California desert in bloom by listed Santa Cruz artist Charles O. Fuson (American, 1898-1981). Signed "C.O. Fuson" lower left. Titled, signed on verso: "Warmth of the Desert, by Charles Fuson, Angels Camp, CA." Presented in a rustic, gray and white painted wood frame. Image, 10.5"H x 13.5"W. Charles Fuson was from Southern California who, up until 1947, worked at the Walt Disney Studios as an artist. He moved to Santa Cruz and became an exhibiting member of the Santa Cruz Art League. Won numerous 1st and 2nd Prizes and his oils and watercolors. He also lived and painted in Angels Camp, California. He was a student of Utah artist Lewis A. Ramsey, while Lewis was living in Southern California.
