 4 x 6 inches each (10.2 x 15.2 cm) The Embrace Series by Fanyu Lin is a collection of intimate watercolor pieces, each measuring 4 x 6 inches. Created with the intimacy of finger painting, the organic strokes and textures offer a deeply personal touch, drawing the viewer into a world of tenderness and connection. These delicate works are rendered in soft, flowing tones, capturing the ephemeral moments of closeness between two beings. The fluidity of the watercolor medium enhances the ethereal quality of each piece, inviting contemplation on the beauty of love in its many forms. Inspired by Egon Schiele’s iconic work The Embrace (1917), this series pays homage to the essential human need for closeness and the beauty found in vulnerability. Lin’s interpretation leans towards a more abstract and gentle approach, allowing the viewer’s emotions to fill the spaces left by the artist’s touch. Each painting is contained within a wooden frame with a black double mat, with a frame size of 8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm). The artwork is hand-signed by the artist on the front, with an additional signature and date on the verso. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.
