I found this small rose bush one evening in October by a lake in British Columbia, Canada. The leaves had turned orange, but the glorious, intense evening light turned them to glowing gold, almost red. The image was made with a macro lens at f/2.8, to keep the leaves in front sharp while elegantly blurring the background of rocks and pebbles by the lake.
