The photographer Wolfgang Kühn photographed Alberto Giacometti in November 1963 in his studio in Paris in the 14th arrondissement at the address rue Hippolyte-Maindron. The appointment was arranged by the gallery owner Aimé Maeght. 17 photographs were made. In 1990 copies of them were deposited in the Museum of Modern Art in New York. In 2010, the Center of International Sculpture of the Wilhelm Lehmbruck Museum Foundation organized an exhibition in which this photograph was shown. The original was taken with a Rolleicord (6x6 format), the film was the US color film Super-Ansco. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
