Having a conversation with a charming bird surrounded by nature under a full moon has a fairy-tale quality to it that awarded Indian artist Bharti Dayal wants to channel with this sublime folk painting in the traditional Madhubani style. The painting is done by soaking pen nibs, sharpened reeds and brushes with acrylic paint and vegetable dyes and applying the beautiful colors on handmade paper.
