A museum quality 18th century french ormolu gilt bronze clock. Having the finest detailed cast bronze on it's integrated polished marble base with a hand painted enamel dial and original movement. Note the extra fine craftsmanship and execution so well done that you can see the expression on the cherub's face with correct cubby formation of his legs and body. The patina is mercury gold gilding ( the highest grade of gold application and discontinued after the 1840s ) all in very good condition and a custom made museum antique wood stand / base.
