Nice and minimalistic pair of 'Model 232' wall lamps, designed by Bruno Gatta and manufactured by Stilnovo, Italy 1954. The large bowl-shaped shades are supported by a black painted metal arm, the wall mounted cap is the same finish as the shade and these lamps can also be used as a ceiling lamp. This neutral colour makes it possible to use these lamps in practically every home or interior. The lamps are very easy to wall or ceiling mount due to the ingenious hanging system that Gatta invented for many of the lamps by Stilnovo. These can be used as wall or ceiling lamp and Use 2x E27 bulb up to 60 watt each. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
