Large brutalist wall lamp in gilded brass and silver metal with a naturalistic organic subject of a stylized exotic flower. Attributed to Richard and Isabelle Faure. Nice quality. Good general condition. Circa: 1970-1980 France Height: 60 cm / 23.6 In. Width: 34 cm / 13.4 In. Depth: 15 cm / 6 In. Weight: 1.5KG Richard and Isabelle Faure were a French designer couple who were active in the 1970s. They are known for creating unique furniture and decorative objects by incorporating natural materials such as glass, brass and semi-precious stones such as quartz and amethyst. Their creations were characterized by a sculptural style mixing the use of raw and natural materials with clean lines, creating pieces that were both functional and aesthetic. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
