This French Empire style gilt and burnished bronze victory wall Sconce is an elegant example of figural wall light that shows a winged Victory, mounted on a small gilt bronze round globe. Backplate is exquisitely worked and it shows many high quality hand-chiseled details: a vegetal decoration is all over and it's possible to recognize various plant types, even in the arm that support the figure. The allegorical winged figure Victory, symbol of military triumph, is made in burnished bronze and it holds up, over its head, a five-light candelabra. Even here vegetal motifs are resumed in arms decoration with acanthus leaves.The sconce is completed with a shantung shade but it's available also without it and without wiring.
