With a 23.23 inches in height with a 7.87 inches diameter, this sophisticated lamp boasts a brushed-brass finish and smoked-glass elements. It complements our "Imperial Chandelier," which likewise evokes the elegance of The Met's fluted Ionic column. HISTORIC PROVENANCEThe Wall Lamp Imperial is inspired by a marble column (ca. 300 B.C.) from the Temple of Artemis at Sardis, a highlight of The Metâs Greek and Roman art collection. The massive section of a fluted Ionic column, which stood at over 58 feet tall in its original location, showcases delicate foliate carvings on the capitalâa unique feature among the surviving columns from the temple.
