Italian Postmodern Model Drop 1 Silicone Rubber Wall Lamp By Marc Sadler For Arteluce, 1990s

Markant wall lamp from the Italian manufacturer Arteluce/I flated a draft from Marc Sadler from the early 90s. A functional lamp and a striking object of special materiality. The front of a silicone elastomer is elastic and determined by materiality and form primarily the appearance of the lamp. The hood is drawn onto a base made of transparent, colored plastic (Lexan polykarbonate). Due to the diffuser made of silicone, the lamp gives a diffuse light. The blue plastic edge of the base throws a reflex colored light on the wall as aura. The drop was awarded the Compasso d'Oro in 1995. Unfortunately, it is no longer produced and is therefore rarely found.
