Metamorphosis Wall Sconce 2

Each Metamorphosis Wall Sconce 2 is crafted individually from hand-blown aubergine glass, silk, and solid brass that has been meticulously polished, brushed and treated with a light antique brass finish. All of our fixtures begin with drawing board designs at our studio in Pound Ridge, New York. From pencil and graph paper renderings individual orders are begun with our proprietary metal components being milled and turned from solid brass stock by expert local machinists. Once these metal components are fabricated they are returned to the studio, carefully polished by hand on jeweler's wheels and then transported on a project by project basis to our custom metal finishing friends in nearby New Jersey. Contemporaneously glass is being blown to specification by extremely talented artists in Connecticut and Pennsylvania, and shade armatures are being fabricated to order by unparalleled craftspeople in New York City. Finally shade frames are tailored with unique & exclusive textiles, some from our collection and some sent in by clients. After all is done and glass, metal and fabric covered shades find themselves back here at the studio in perfect form, fixtures are carefully assembled one-by-one, obsessed over excessively and then fastidiously prepared for safe hand-delivery or pick-up. All fixtures are delivered with appropriate lightbulbs - LED filament if possible. The Metamorphosis Wall Sconce 2 is fitted for one 60 watt equivalent standard e26 bulb. Shade is 6" diameter x 12" tall; sconce has an overall projection of 9.25" off the wall. Please allow 12 weeks for production.
