This Modernist ceramic wall light was made during the Studio Ceramics Movement in Hungary, in the 1950's. The hand formed ceramic element is glazed and the decoration reflects what was happening in painting at that time. The new shade is based on the original, including colour. You can easily adapt the light to direct wiring. The shade hangs on two nails. Up to 250V (Europe/UK Standard).The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
