The height of the shade can be adjusted simply by moving the round counterweight along the arm. The lamp’s large perforated reflector shade and handblown glass globe (by John Hogan) create a soft glow and gentle shadows which create a micro-environment around the lamp.This edition was developed as a collaborative commission for Giancarlo Valle Studio. Originally conceived as an alternative to an overhead dining chandelier, L&G worked closely with GVS to create an emotive, gestural statement piece that creates an intimate space around the center of the table.
