Created by Jasper Morrison, the Oplight LED Wall Sconce from FLOS is an efficient piece designed to maximize the home's space and accentuate its modern architecture. Inspired by anonymously designed objects, Morrison's 'super normal' design philosophy emphasizes the balance between shape and character with tension and expression. With this piece, Morrison answers the question of what the obvious shape of a wall light could be. The design rests flush against the wall with a rounded backplate. The oval lamp head in front creates a low-profile shelf that blocks the glare from below. A polycarbonate lens tops the head, giving the up-lighting LEDs a mellowed, ambient quality.
