This series of candleholders was hand crafted in the 1970's at the Skultuna factory next to the studio were Pierre Forssell was working with he's assistant. The candleholder is made of brass. Simple, minimal and elegant at the same time. The incurved top provides some warm reflection. Pierre was inspired by Brancusi when visiting the museum in Stockholm. The size is great to be used on a table, on a buffet or on a desk. But more than a candleholder it's a sculpture. We do have more exemple in our collection. Feel free to reach out for others models. _____________________________________________________________Pierre Oskar Paul Forssell, born 1925 in Stockholm, died 2004, was a Swedish designer, craftsman and silversmith.Forssell worked for Gense 1952–1964 where he designed the Piruett swivel fork (introduced 1955 on the H55, launched 1959) and the Spectra cutlery range (1961).
