Vintage 'Saturn' wall lamp designed by Joachim Lepper for Louis Poulsen in 1990. The lamp features a rectangular white enameled metal backplate with a central vertical cylindrical column held within a four-rail cross frame. A thin circular disc ring bisects the column at its midpoint, giving the fixture its Saturn-like silhouette. Two medium base sockets accommodate bulbs up to 100W each.Joachim Lepper's Saturn was produced by Louis Poulsen, the Copenhagen-based manufacturer long associated with precision-engineered lighting. The lamp's geometric structure reflects the shift in Danish design during the late 1980s and early 1990s away from organic Mid-Century Modern forms toward more industrial, architecturally driven compositions. The all-white enamel finish was a deliberate choice consistent with the cleaner aesthetic direction of the period.Shows enamel loss and minor surface wear consistent with age and use.
