This iconic model 'erdbeere' strawberry-shaped wall light was created by the famous german designer wilhelm wagenfeld (1900-1990) for lindner leuchten (ljs). wagenfeld studied at the bauhaus in weimar during the 1920s and joined the 'deutsche werkbund' in 1926. In the first half of the 1930s he taught design at the berlin state art school. In 1954, he founded his own design studio in stuttgart and also designed for renowned german manufacturers like braun, wmf and rosenthal. different types of the model 'erdbeere', wall and ceiling lights, were manufactured between 1955 - 1970 by lindner leuchten. the high-quality lamp is made from porcelain and features a screw bace opaline glass lampshade and was originally used in bathrooms or kitchens. This piece has an attribution mark, i am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, up to 250v (europe/uk standard).the wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
