This extraordinary and rather rare wall light is produced by altalite, a historic division of the prestigious targetti sankey group. This model is a perfect example of 1970s italian space age design, featuring an aesthetic reminiscent of organ pipes or jet engines, typical of the technological experimentation of that decade. The wall light is composed of four chromed steel cylinders of decreasing lengths, mounted on a mirrored rectangular base. Each cylinder ends with an e27 bulb socket, designed to create a directional and dramatic beam of light. Black on/off sliders are located on the cylinder body, a functional detail typical of altalite production that gives the piece a vintage "hi-tech" look. The chrome base reflects the cylinders themselves, visually doubling the lamp's volume and creating depth on the wall.
