The idea for the mirror was born while visiting different wood workshops all overGermany: the wood from the tangential cut of the tree trunk is characterised by slanted endsthat are usually not used for furniture production. This “waste material” that does not passthrough the perfect cut system is used to create an engaging contrast with a glass surface.Atelier Ferraro is a design studio based in Munich focused on creating visuallyenthralling, intuitive objects of design fitted for the modern user. After obtaininga master’s degree, Emanuele Ferraro moved to Germany to work with a seriesof renowned architecture offices and founded his own design studio in 2019.His work has since then been selected for several design fairs and exhibitions, thelikes of EDIT Naples, Talente Munich and the Salone Satellite in Milan.His work was featured in AD, ElleDecor,Monocle, Wallpaper, Interni China, Il Mattino, Sight Unseen and Design-Wanted.His work is currently at the Design Museum Compasso D´oro ADI Milan,in the group exhibition "Italy a new landscape".
