Bolognese Round Framed Wall Mirror

The superb round frame of this mirror was hand carved out of antique wood using exclusively artisanal techniques that have been known since the 14th century. The gentle curves that decorate the frame are prepared using natural materials such as natural rabbit-derived glue and isinglass and then gilded in pure 22k gold. The wood is then bronzed with agate stone and a patina is finally applied to give the surface an aged appearance.
