This wall mirror, visually recreating the Venetian aesthetic and acting as a tribute to the city of Venice, features two strips of Rovere Briccola, kept in their original form, with a mirror inserted recreating the flow of water between the Venetian canals. Le Briccole are the undisputed protagonists of Venice and characterize the skyline. Here, oak poles are used to signal to the boatsmen the limit of the deepest part of the lagoon, allowing them to navigate without risk and guiding them along their path; here they avoid becoming stranded in areas of shallow water and in the foundations of the Venetian palaces. Periodically, the Briccole are replaced after being damaged and curved by molluscs, which, through a work of perfect round holes, leave the mark of their passage. A pole of Briccolaremains immersed in the lagoon on average between 10 and 150 years (depending on the conditions of high and low tide into which it is submerged), then, corroded by marine flora and fauna from the tidal flow, is replaced. This is a material that tells and is part of the story, which is recovered, selected, carefully cleaned, and worked to build unique furnishings and accessories with unrepeatable charm.
