Silex Mirror

Gessato
Polished steel that reads like glass; a flint-edged oval that catches light and throws it back. Designed by Zieta Studio, the SILEX Mirror rethinks the archetypal oval using FiDU—Zieta’s “inflated” sheet-steel process. The frame buckles and ripples as the metal expands, then freezes mid-motion, so the edge feels fractured, almost geological. Up close you notice the soft distortion along the rim—an intentional “controlled loss of control,” as Oskar Zięta puts it—that gives the reflection a quiet halo while the center stays crisp. Sculpture when the room is empty; a true mirror when you need it. Hang it above a console, in a dressing area, or at an entry where daylight can skim the perimeter. Available in Inox Polished (mirror-bright metal) or White Matt 9010 for a cooler, porcelain-like read. Wipe with a microfiber cloth; avoid abrasives.
