In the remote location of Coyote Buttes lies one of Arizona’s treasures. The Wave is a remarkable rock formation made of eroded sandstone in colour patterns ranging from earth tones to white. The wavy layers result from the slow wind and rain erosion and are comprised of Navajo Sandstone dunes that have calcified, turning into hardened rocks over time. The Wave is absolutely surreal with its undulating patterns and inspired the creation of the Arizona mirror. Formed by layers of noble materials such as marble, brass and bronze mirror that resemble the sandy shades of the rocky formation, Arizona is a piece that recreates the natural forces of the place through the materials layering and the sensuality of its infinite curves.
