Dd01 Bergeyk wall unit by Martin Visser for 't Spectrum, 1950s A wall unit designed by Martin Visser a Dutch designer for the Dutch Company 't Spectrum. A black lacquered metal unit with wooden white lacquered drawer, made during 1956-1969. Inside the drawer a glass plate splits the space and shows traces of use (stains). The top shows scratches and signs of wear Martin Visser (1922-2009) is one of the most famous Dutch furniture designers. Because of his work for the furniture department of De Bijenkorf, Martin Visser was asked in 1954 to become chief designer at 't Spectrum. The measurement is 19.5 cm high, 50 cm wide and the depth is 30 cm. The weight is over 4 kilos. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
