A pair of small masterpieces entirely handmade, the result of the great skill of Italian craftsmen. Made in Italy between the 50s and 60s, this pair of small twin wall shelf consoles is made with natural and resistant materials such as bamboo, cane and rattan, cut to size, folded to create the wonderful decorative wave pattern and tied together by hand with Rattan strips to create a very popular object in Riviera homes, but being handmade each piece is different from the other and therefore unique. The design of this vintage floating shelf is often attributed to designers Franco Albini and Franca Helg, but there are no documents that attest to its veracity. This pair of wall consoles is in good vintage condition, the surface has been carefully cleaned and polished with a specific product to protect the natural fiber. Both consoles show an opening on the wave band visible in photos and videos, it does not appear to be a break but simply the terminal part of the bent canes. Being a couple, we imagined them as Nightstand tables at the ends of a bed, but nothing prevents you from using them as shelves or entrance consoles. This piece is designed in the style of the selected designer and/or manufacturer
