This piece is the "Junco" wall light designed by Coderch, which was born from the elaboration, at the beginning of the 60s, of wall lights and fixtures by Valencian artisans from organic materials such as reeds, rattan and cane; hence its name "Junco". Subsequently, the architect Josep Antoni Coderch i de Sentmenat, who worked together with Federico Correa and Alfonso Milá, reissued this piece improving the play of light through superimpositions and shadows, and offered it to his clients, who welcomed it as one of the architect's best designs. The manufacture of this sconce carried out for years at MLB Coderch.What is striking is the way the rattan is worked: split lengthwise in half, is worked in reverse and spiral, leaving the inner fiber of the rattan visible and subtly hiding the bulb inside the piece. It has a top hook and two lower legs to provide stability against the wall.
