Stunning pair of extra large opaline glass wall lights/sconces designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld for Peill & Putzler (Germany, 1950s). Rare Magna/2685 model. Opaline glass shades with metal bases. Beautiful minimalist design & high quality. They create a beautiful atmosphere. Wilhelm Wagenfeld was an important pioneer of modernist design. His timelessly simple designs are internationally recognized and have received many awards. A museum dedicated to Wagenfeld’s works as well as a design school named in his honor have been created in his hometown of Bremen. Rewired (hardwired) and ready to use (US compatible).
