A good pair of hand cast 19th c. Dutch brass wall sconces with zoomorphic arms. The design of these sconces is very successful including the long nozzles and the bulbous base. Nice patina throughout. These will polish to a bright finish if you prefer. The pair has been electrified - this can be reversed for use with candles. Each measures 14 3/4" tall x 14" across the arms. The sconces project 8" from the wall. These can be used with chandelier shades or bare bulbs. Period lighting is so handsome and this is a good example.
