Pair of Napoleon III-style gilded bronze wall sconces dating from the second half of the 19th century. The central shaft is shaped like a geometric torch tapering downward and ends with a knotted ribbon featuring draped tails that cascade down the shaft. The two symmetrical, curvilinear volute arms are entirely covered with finely chiseled rose branches, leaves, and buds. Provenance: 19th-century France. General Condition: In perfect working order.
