The Barron Wall Sconce from Hudson Valley Lighting honors Danish lighting architecture and the issue of harsh glare that came with the use of electric lighting. The solution to this problem was using layered and curved shades made out of opal glass to gently diffuse the illumination. The upper shade has a metal finish on the inside, with a painted black fine texture on the outside, helping to further reflect and disperse the light without causing glare.
