Subtle black and white 1950ies articulated wall light, designed by Hoogervorst for the famous Anvia lighting company. Pictured in the original fifties Anvia catalogue, number 7078, page 11. Clever construction; thanks to the vertical metal bar ( h 50 cm ) that is fixed in the black holder, the lights’ arm keeps stable. The weight of the shade keeps the curved horizontal arm from falling down. So this arm can move up and down and also swing to both sides. The shade ( dia 27 cm ) itself is also movable in all directions thanks to the ball-socket joint. The fifties Anvia designs are clearly influenced by the designs of Sarfatti, Stilnovo and Disderot. Good condition and in perfect working order, wiring has been replaced and all electrical parts have been checked. Bulbholder normal E 27, suitable for modern LED bulbs. No denting, flaking or scratches, minimal marks. Ready for instant use! I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, European Plug (up to 250V).The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
