These splendid murano glass sconces were designed by carlo scarpa for venini. They are entirely handmade using the reticello technique, so called for the characteristic net-like texture visible within them, a technique achieved through glass blowing. They are highly decorative and adaptable to any setting. Their light is warm and very pleasant, adapting to many interior styles, adding a touch of elegance. For the united states, a bulb with an e27 or e26 base is required. They are wired for the united states and operate at 110 or 220 volts. The base measures: w 4.5 x h 11.5 cm. this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
