Chairish

$1,095

Luxurious of chrome frames and thick diamond crystal sconces by the famed maker, kinkeldey. Very elegant light fixtures, comfortable with all decor periods. The crystals are meticulously cut in such a way that radiate the light of the bulbs in different directions. The light fixtures are executed to a very high standard: all metal parts are chrome, even the lamp sockets and screws. Excellent condition. Cleaned, well-wired and ready to use. The sconces can be disassembled and the crystals individually wrapped for easy transport. Each light requires 1 e14 lightbulb of 40 w. Dimensions: height: 5.90" (15 cm) width: 9.06" (23 cm) depth: 4.72" (12 cm) kinkeldey is a german manufacturer of high-end lighting fixtures. The company attracted international attention when they won the prestigious if design award in 1969 with a chandelier fitted with prism cut crystals. During the 1970s kinkeldey produced a number of variations on this award winning model, like the one offered here. Although these lamps show the same quality as fixtures of companies like bakalowits, lobmeyer and palwa, the kinkeldey models tend to be more modern in their design approach. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, up to 250v (europe/uk standard).the wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
