This pair of vintage Hollywood Regency style, French-made gilt sconces use the symbolism of wheat to glamorize the agrarian, promoting abundance and prosperity in any room. The design was likely inspired by a wheat-sheaf side table belonging to the famous Coco Chanel. For the modern interior these sconces delight us with organic references of pastoral naturalism, worked in gilded metal to illuminate the room. Each single-arm fixture projects outward from a loose arrangement of elegantly bowed stalks, lit by one candelabra-base bulb in faux candle cover mounted in a floral bobeche. Professionally cleaned and rewired for US electrical using UL-listed parts. Please view the detailed images. Sold as a pair. Backplate: 5 ¾” diameter
