Marvelous large pair of art deco murano wall sconces by ercole barovier. These unique bellflower adjustable sconces were produced in italy during the 1940s. In fabulous condition with no chips or cracks. These highly refined sconces feature a large mouth-blown crystal glass shades with a wonderful softly scalloped rim. The glass is enriched with delicate internal bubbles which beautifully diffuse the light and enhance its depth when illuminated. What truly makes this pair unique is the sophisticated solid brass structure with an articulated brass arm with a pivoting joint, allowing the light to be oriented from side to side. The contrast between the luminous murano glass and the warm golden tone of the solid brass creates a timeless and luxurious aesthetic. The brass has a beautiful and uniform golden patina that has been left unpolished to preserve their authenticity and historical charm. The sconces have been rewired and tested, compatible with us and eu/uk standards, they use a standard e26/27 light bulb.
