Large wall lamp from the Elica series designed by Toni Zuccheri in 1965 for Venini glassworks. Metal frame, the lamp consists of 10 elements in murano glass, excellent condition, 4 light points, electrical system overhauled by a professional.In the rare large size of 62 cm x 31 cm-H 53 cm.Bibliography: Venini production catalog.Son of the animal rights painter Luigi Zuccheri, he inherits his passion for animals, recurring subjects in his creations. Toni Zuccheri attended the faculty of architecture in Venice under the guidance of Gardella, Albini, Scarpa and Samonà. He began collaborating with VENINI from the 1960s: his first glass works were, following the family tradition, animals made of polychrome glass with precious techniques, such as "murrine," later a series of lamps with timeless charm and great aesthetic impact.In 1965 he began collaborating with Gio Ponti, with whom he designed a new system of stained glass windows, the "Vetrate Grosse." Later, he expanded glass production with new colors and subjects, participating in numerous exhibitions around the world.
