Each sconce measures 30 inches high by 14 inches wide by 8 inches deep. The gilt iron frames are richly beaded with clear glass, scrolling outward into seven candle arms, each fitted with scalloped glass bobeches and adorned with drops of faceted crystal. Cascading swags of bead-chain and teardrop prisms enhance the sparkle, creating an elegant interplay of light and reflection. The Maria Theresa style takes its name from Empress Maria Theresa of Austria and the monumental chandelier commissioned for her palace in the mid-18th century.
