The sphere-shaped glass shade intersects a brass sheet and illuminates the space evenly. The slender form topped with an oval was inspired by observations of insects, to be precise by a dragonfly. Hence the name. The lamp was produced in techniques of brass casting and glass blowing. Jan garncarek is an important contemporary designer, graduated from the academy of fine arts in warsaw. He gained extra qualifications at politecnico di milano. He has acquired professional experience in the design society. He took part in projects such as: design of visual information for the museum of the history of polish jews, interior design project of the polish cultural institute in tel aviv, space arrangement of the presidential palace of poland, interior design project of the polish embassy in berlin and skopje, modernization of the malachowski's square in warsaw.
