Mid-Century Italian Sconce By Enzo Mari For Artemide, 1970s

Chairish

$2,389

Very rare wall or ceiling lamp from the Aggregato series from the Italian manufacturer Artemide after a design by Enzo Mari and Giancarlo Fassina from the 70s. Particularly striking is the widely cantilevered arm of the lamp. The design is deliberately very simple. The arm consists of an aluminum profile into which a cable duct is clipped, visible from the outside. The arm has a double ball joint on both sides, which are fixed in the desired position with a lever. This makes the luminaire extremely flexible. A special detail of this version is the interesting cord bracing, which is fixed to the wall or ceiling and intercepts the long arm. From this series only the pendant lamp is still in production. This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, Up to 250V (Europe/UK Standard). The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
