Mid Century wall mount swing arm, pull down sconce, designed by Gerald Thurston, for Lightolier, circa 1950/60's. The sconce features a classic flying saucer shaped shade with a metal top, with the signature Thurston white plastic diffuser. The shade is adjustable in height, and the brass arm pivots within the backplate. This example is in good, clean, working and ready to install condition, the metal shade shows a slight bend at the edge ( see images ) it has been newly professionally rewired.
